Quality of information in YouTube videos on prostate fusion biopsy

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality videos on YouTube related MRI-TRUS prostate fusion biopsy. Material and Methods: A search was made March 16, 2022, for “MRI-TRUS biopsy”. first 70 were ranked during by choosing “relevance” as a criterion. Video content evaluated using internationally validated Journal American Medical Association Benchmark Score (JAMAS) Global Quality (GQS). researcher also developed Prostate Fusion Biopsy Scoring (MTPFBS) videos’ technical content. upload origin length video view count, like dislike ratios, power indexes (VPI) all evaluated. Results: from academic center sources had significantly higher GQS scores than scientific meetings or private institution videos. prepared lower MTPFBS JAMA other (p<0.05). According type information, uploaded with voice writing JAMAS alone showed positive correlation MTPFBS. VPI number likes strong correlation. However, did not correlate GQS, JAMAS, scores. Conclusion: Evaluated YouTube, biopsy low quality. In that regard, specialists centers should be standardized transfer better information. current data, watching these contents may recommended.
